ON PURPOSE© January 31, 2008 Michael Druck

We were awakened to see the wonders of the universe;

just one of the reasons of birth.
We were awakened to see great things;
and make a difference on earth.

The counting of blessings is here and will stay;

counted from the last to the first.

We were awakened to see the handiwork of G-d,

and become aware of His words.

To hold Torah deep in our hearts

and witness what sages have heard.

Hashem! There has been nothing more

than Your greatness uncovered.
And that, is the blessing of it all.
To see and to feel Your world, oh so real;

and discover the meaning of it all.

It all leads back to Torah, doesn’t it?
And the connection for us to find.
The soul of a people discovered on earth;

recounted and counted in time.

The counting of blessings is here and will stay,

as long as we remember our thirst,

for all great things in creation.

Let us all be awakened and learn great things,

and make a difference on earth, on earth;

and make a difference on earth.

We are attached to G-d Who creates.
G-d the creator of things.

THE SINAI EXPERIMENT© 1/10/08 Michael Druck

A Jew is a Jew
and is always a Jew
He who thinks he can change from a Jew
is still a Jew.
For a Jew is a Jew just the same.

So Reform is a Jew.
and a Conservative a Jew
and an Orthodox a Jew
Reconstructionist a Jew.
For a Jew is more than a name.

Not so Reform
is somebody’s norm
like a Conservative is
he is a Jew as he is.
G-d sees us all
at the Jerusalem Wall

For a Jew is a Jew just the same.

Now what I was saying
will take more than just praying
trying and conveying
what I was portraying
or whether Teffillin was laying.
For a Jew is a Jew just the same.

So put away what you know
for G-d made us so
what has been granted to us is the same.

At Sinai no one questioned who was who
and we were all there.
